New seafood restaurant, FISK in the quaint village of Prestbury invited Luxury Cheshire to its launch party last Friday evening.
FISK is the second restaurant for owners Stuart and Kanyana Williams who opened their successful Harrogate eaterie in 2016.
The FISK menu offers an enticing range of fish and shellfish dishes, many with an exciting Asian twist.
Friday night’s launch party was packed with familiar faces from the local Prestbury and Alderley Edge areas, eager to sample the succession of beautifully presented and delicious ‘petit cours’ that were sent out from the busy kitchen.
Dishes from the starter menu included Seared king scallops with tomato salsa and prosciuto di parma shavings, Lightly battered king prawns with sweet chilli sauce and Japanese-style tuna and salmon tartare.
From the main menu, guests sampled Monkfish Massaman Curry and Singapore Chilli Crab.
The restaurant’s champagne bar served Pol Roger Champagne and Slingsby Gin. FISK has partnerships with both of these prestige brands. Pol Roger was famously Winston Churchill’s favourite fizz, and like the man himself has a depth of character.
FISK brings Slingsbury Gin from its hometown of Harrogate. Its London Dry Gin is created using Harrogate’s famous spa water and botanicals. The blend is noted for its clear notes of grapefruit and jasmine blossom, as well as its now iconic blue bottle.
Guest Andrew Royle, of the Wilmslow Prestige Car Dealership, Royles Motor Group, said, “It’s great to have something different in the village” – a view echoed by Prestbury residents, Tony and Hilary Fine.
